Yoga

  • Specifically designed for the ever changing prenatal body, this class offers a welcoming space for flow and connection. We will focus on movements/ techniques that can be supportive during pregnancy, labor and birth. This class is open to all perinatal women and levels of experience (including none).

  • Taught similarly to the prenatal class but focusing specifically on movements/ techniques that can be supportive during labor and birth. This course will be more open to questions and discussion than a traditional yoga class. Partners are welcome and encouraged.

  • Yoga fosters a strong mind and body connection. Trauma can make this connection difficult. Yoga for trauma provides a path to safely and respectfully repair this disconnect. This specific yoga practice can be especially beneficial for expecting people who have been affected by violence and/or sexual assault. The perinatal timeframe can be triggering due to changes in and lack of sensitivity around the body. This practice can also benefit expecting parents who have experienced or who are concerned about the possibility of developing a PMAD (Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorder).
